OneShift: the day's hours proposed in Teams, logged in one tapA laptop showing a chat with the OneShift assistant. It lists three entries it found in the day: a sprint planning meeting for Acme, an API review for Nordic Bank, and an internal one-to-one, with a total of four hours of which three and a half are billable. OneShift turns the hours your team already spends into approved timesheets, customer statements and invoices, with an assistant that does the logging for them.

Time logging is the chore every consultancy loses money on. Hours go unrecorded, timesheets arrive late, and month-end billing is assembled by hand from memory. OneShift, a product we work on, puts an assistant in Microsoft Teams that reviews each person's day, proposes what they worked on and for whom, and logs it when they confirm. Nothing is logged without a person saying yes.

From there the week runs itself: people submit, managers approve or send a timesheet back with a reason, and billing turns approved time into customer statements, adjusts what should be billed, and sends draft invoices to Business Central. Clients get their own portal to read statements and ask questions about them.

What you get

The assistant comes to you
At the end of each day it lists what you probably worked on, taken from your meetings and activity. One tap logs it all, or correct it in plain words, in any language.
It learns your habits
Tell it to round to fifteen minutes or to skip the small stuff and it remembers. Those rules stay private to you and are forgotten on request.
Approvals that stick
Managers approve weekly timesheets or reject them with a reason. Approved weeks are locked, and every change is in the audit log.
From hours to invoice
Approved time becomes customer statements for every client in one go. Split, scale or cap billable time, tidy the comments with the assistant, export, or send draft invoices to Business Central.
A portal for your clients
Clients sign in with an emailed link, read their statements and the issue board you share with them, and ask questions that are answered only from their own statement.
